Social and Economic History of Ottoman Anatolia Symposium I:Disease and Disaster in Ottoman Anatolia
Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center and the Skiliter Centre for Ottoman Studies, Newnham College, University of Cambridge agreed to start a joint three year project on the Socio-Economic History of Anatolia in the Ottoman Period.
The Project will consist of three conferences on three themes:
1. Disease and Disaster (both man-made and natural disasters).
2. Trade and Production will be held in Ankara in Spring 2017
3. Social Life will be held in Ankara in Spring 2018
Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center and the Skiliter Centre for Ottoman Studies, Newnham College, University of Cambridge are pleased to announce the first conference’s –Disease and Disaster in Ottoman Anatolia- program which will be held on 18-19 March 2016.
