Diplomatic Missions of Ankara Conference

VEKAM is thrilled to announce the Diplomatic Missions of Ankara conference within the framework of the project titled “Towards the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye: The Fifty-Year Diplomatic Relations between Turkish and Foreign Missions in Çankaya-Ankara (1920-1970)  funded by the European Union under the Grant Scheme for Common Cultural Heritage: Preservation and dialogue between Türkiye and the EU–II (CCH-II).

The project coordinated by Dr. Koray Özalp from Ankara Philately and Urban Studies Society and with the partnership of Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center (VEKAM), Bilkent University’s Department of History, Rahmi M. Koç Museum Ankara, Çankaya Municipality and Bulgarian Philately Union, as co-applicants,  a conference that intends to shed light on diplomatic relations and missions in Ankara will be held on May 12th 2022 at the Çankaya Municilality’s Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center.

At the end of the conference the exhibition titled Diplomatic Missions in Ankara will be launched and will be available for its visitors from May 12 to May 27 at the Çankaya Municilality’s Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center.

As part and one of the assets of the project the documentary film; Behind the Walls will meet with its audience and will be screened on May 24th at the the Çankaya Municilality’s Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center’s Sabahattin Ali conference hall at 7.30 pm.
