Within the scope of XVI. National Architecture Exhibition and Awards 2018 , Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center (VEKAM) recieved the special jury  award for its contribution to the field of architecture  with a ceremony which was held at CerModern , Ankara on April 6th, 2018.

On May 8, 2018 a lecture by  Prof. Dr. Filiz Yenişehirlioğlu, director of Koç University VEKAM, titled as Carrying the Past and Present to the Future in Ankara: VEKAM as a City Research Center will take place on May 8 , 2018 at the Mimarlar Derneği 1927 at 19:30. . The lecture will  state the role of VEKAM in Ankara as a city research center with its contributions, projects, archive, library and events.
