Within the scope of Koç University’s VEKAM monthly conferences the second lecture of the fall semestre will be given by Colombian Ambassador of Ankara H.E. Juan Alfredo Pinto Saavedra. The lecture will be held at Turkish – American Association on Novemver 16th, 2017 between 14:00 – 15:30. The lecture will cover Colombian culture, economy, biodiversity, opportunities and cooperation between Turkish and Colombian Universities.

The lecture will be in English and simultaneous translation will be available.

About the Speaker: H.E. Juan Alfredo Pinto Saavedra

Current Ambassador of Colombia to Türkiye and Non-resident ambassador to Georgia, Iran and Pakistan. Economist and Agriculture Business administrator, specialist in Colombian Economy and private finance. Former Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism; Minister of Economic Development (e); member of the Parliament of the Republic of Colombia; President of the Association of Colombian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (ACOPI); President of the Latin American Confederation of the SME-CLAMPI; General Manager of the Aqueduct and Sewerage Company of Bogota. Throughout his career has been part of over 60 board of directors, including private institutions, universities, NGOs, business groups and financial institutions. In addition, He has written and published 27 books, translated into English, Hindi and Turkish.
