CULTURAL EXCHANGES IN ANATOLIA IN THE MIDDLE AGES: GEORGIAN KINGDOM AND GEORGIAN ART



From 2014 on, VEKAM holds annual international symposia titled Cultural Exchanges in Anatolia in the Middle Ages, to tell the tale of various Anatolian civilizations, and to support research in this field. The symposium titled “Cultural Exchanges in Anatolia in the Middle Ages: Georgian Kingdom and Georgian Art” held on 15 May, 2014 is the first one of a series in this vein. The symposium comprised 4 sessions discussing the cultural traces of Georgians in Anatolia, and was attended by and saw presentations by many researchers from within Türkiye and from Georgia. The event took place at Ankara Orchard House, on 15 May, from 09:00 to 17:30.
