The congress on “Management of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Memory Institutions” organized by ÜNAK on 17-20 September, 2014, was carried out successfully.With the contributions of ÜNAK, VEKAM brought together the congress participants from Ankara, with a view to facilitate the sharing of new applied models/experiences regarding the subject, between the researchers, implementers, and service providers in the fields of libraries, archives, museums and other relevant applied fields.

The congress on “Management of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Memory Institutions” organized by ÜNAK on 17-20 September, 2014, was carried out successfully. Within the framework of the congress, activities carried out to protect and organize cultural heritage, make it accessible, and convey it to future generations were shared, and proposals were voiced.

The congress emphasized the shared issues concerning the operations of archives, libraries, and museums, usually considered cultural memory institutions. The congress also provided an information sharing platform for specialists and academic researchers regarding the management of cultural heritage and cultural memory institutions. In this context, with the contributions of ÜNAK, VEKAM brought together the congress participants from Ankara at Ankara Orchard House on 5 December, 2014, with a view to facilitate the sharing of new applied models/experiences regarding the subject, between the researchers, implementers, and service providers in the fields of libraries, archives, museums and other relevant applied fields.
