Lucia (Schulz) Moholy, a British expert in microfilming and photography, visited Turkey twice in the early 1950s to establish microfilming and photography laboratories in universities and ministries, which were popular recording and preservation media at the time, and to plan industrial and academic documentation activities. During her stay in Turkey, Moholy visited such institutions in various provinces, met with their officials, conducted trainings, and established laboratories.

The National Library, the Higher Agricultural Institute, the Ministry of National Education and the Institute of Public Health are among the institutions where these laboratories are located. Lucia Moholy also made regular reports on these activities and produced her own documents. documentation.

The lecture By Prof. Hakan Anameriç will intend to discuss Lucia Moholy’s activities in Turkey on the basis of these reports and the documents obtained from the archival study.
