Organised as part of the 41st European Heritage Days by EUNIC, the European Network of National Cultural Institutes, and coordinated by the Institut français Ankara, 34 cultural institutions and venues, including 8 European Embassies and 5 museums, are participating this year.

The Ankara Orchard House of Koç University VEKAM is pleased to host a special screening of the documentary Mnemosyne , which is directed and produced by Deniz Şengenç Tunca from Mareliber and supported by Koç University VEKAM in 2022. The documentary focuses on Gençlik Park, which is one of Ankara’s most significant public and memory spaces, as part of the European Heritage Days. The documentary Mynemosyne prompts reflection on the concepts of space and memory. Additionally, it raises the question of the significance of Gençlik Park for the people of Ankara and the changes that have occurred over time. Following the screening, a director’s talk will be held on the challanges of film making and the documentary.

The programme is available on the Institut Français Ankara website www.ifturquie.org/ankara and on the European Heritage Days Instagram account (@avrupa_miras_gunleri_ankara).

All events are free of charge, registration is mandatory.
